A clematis montana used to cover the back of our house when I was young. The metal bannister that led up to the back door was heavy with the large flat, two coloured blossom. In this print, I created clouds of flowers that cover the cloth in uneven masses leaving space between the leaves, just as we enjoy the climber when we are lucky enough to come across it in bloom.

This design is printed onto a background of undyed heavy organic linen, printed in the UK.
