Linen is one of the strongest textiles and one of the oldest. We are very enthusiastic about linen, it’s all natural and has been woven into fabric and worn since the ancient Egyptians. Linen has been found in pharos tombs and, along with wool, is one of the two primary fabrics used in the UK until the East India company started importing cotton into England in the 1690s.
Linen is made from the stems of the flax plant, it is strong, durable and perfect for upholstery, table cloths, curtains, cushions and blinds. All our organic linen cotton mixes are printed in the UK using certified organic inks and dyes. They have high rub rates, so can be used for upholstery and are UV resistance so will be fine in sunlight. The linens we print are 130 to 135 cm wide, 250 gsm in weight and printed to any length.
We are happy to talk projects via email: katy@katymcintyrebrown.com, and can match fabric design backgrounds to your wall colours, and ship to Europe and the US.
